Avengers in space, is a good way to describe this Marvel film. Although most people have never heard of this film or the comic, it will become extremely popular when the film is in theaters. The cast is amazingly random, you have comedy stars(John C. Reilly) to action(Zoe Saldana) to drama(Glenn Close, Benicio Del Toro) to television(Pushing Daisies, star Lee Pace,Walking Dead star Michael Rooker, Doctor Who star,Karen Gillan,Parks and Rec. Chris Pratt). There is even a wrestler (Dave Bautista) playing Drax the Destroyer. This is the Avengers in space except it's intergalactic, not all stationed on earth. This can mean battles of epic proportions. Pacific Rim could be equal to the effects of this film,but my guess it will have more origins then action. The huge cast makes me think that it will be hard to separate screen time for all the actors,but somehow director James Gunn will find a way. With Gunn directing he is known for gore and profanity, which because this is in technically another universe, so he can maybe sneak some of his signature traits in. Overall I'm super excited and hope now you are too.
Guardians of the Galaxy 101
What is the Guardians of the Galaxy?- It is an organization poised on protecting and guarding the universe and everyone in it.
The main (team) characters
Star Lord- He is half human, half alien and the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Drax the Destroyer- A human that is resurrected for the only one reason to kill Thanos.
Groot- Giant tree-like creature who can smash things and when injured can grow himself back to life.
Rocket Raccoon- A raccoon with a smart ass attitude,and can talk. He is also capable of firing weapons.
Gamora- The last of her kind,green skinned and used to be trained by Thanos,arch nemesis of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Main Villiain-
Thanos- Seen briefly at the end of the Avengers is this purple power obsessed alien who wants to control the universe.
