Drunk History Episode 1 review (Small spoilers!)

Based on the Funny or Die shorts of the same name comes a show where guys get drunk and tell a history or biography of an event or person. This episode showcased how Elvis(played by Jack Black) gets a DEA badge, Watergate, and Lincoln's assassination while also telling John Wilkes Booth's life story. This show is hilarious. When you look at the concept t sounds funny or really stupid. At first you are like, "what am I watching?" Then after the first five minutes you don't stop laughing till each commercial break. The first segment on Watergate seemed to be the one that was the least absurd, except when he puked. The second segment was the most hilarious it showed they could actually tell history while also somehow making it funny. The dialogue that Adam Scott(plays John Wilkes Booth) does is just priceless to see. In the Elvis segment this is outrageously untrue, I think, but Elvis gets a DEA badge and takes out a guy who stole his bling then he gives him 200 dollars and takes his jewelry back. So overall it was great can't wait till the next one airs.

The Verdict: Great first televised episode. 9/10
+ The actors portraying celebrities.
+ Booth/ Lincoln segment
+ The untrue occurrences, that the drunk people either make up or do not in the dramatization
-Wish it would be longer

  1. They're all true, actually. Legally, they had to research every fact.
