Coming off major successes last year, Seth MacFarlane is becoming a household name. You may know this guy from the popular television shows Family Guy and American Dad, which are two very raunchy comedies.( The Cleveland Show was cancelled. ) These animated television shows have not gotten him far in the industry because of their tendency to make fun of celebrities, races, cultures, and sexuality, but 2012 proved different for MacFarlane when he released his first feature film Ted. And as most of you probably know Ted is one of my favorite comedies. When in theaters it grossed 500 million being the most a comedy that was rated R ever grossed. This proved MacFarlane could make money and crowds. Soon after he was then invited to host the academy awards in which he accepted. His career has since taken off, with the Oscar gig going okay and his shows ratings skyrocketing. After this year's awards he was asked to host again, but do to negative critical reception MacFarlane declined and says he wants to focus on other projects. What other projects? Well MacFarlane has since confirmed three movie plans with a sequel to Ted, a Family Guy movie, and a Blazing Saddles esque Western set for a summer 2014 release. Other plans for his career include expanding his television empire by making better episodes if his two shows. Personally I love MacFarlane, he has the best performer presence and I hope he keeps revolutionizing television and film for the new generation. Lately there have been a lack of great comedies and we know that MacFarlane can deliver.
