Vin Diesel two roles in the MCU?

In a recent interview The Hollywood Reporter Vin Diesel revealed a possible second role in the Marvel universe. Here's a link: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/vin-diesel-groot-guardians-galaxy-615110. Who is he? Diesel explained he was up for a role in the third phase when the fans kept nagging him for the answer. Disney and Marvel knew he didn't have the room in his schedule until 2016 so after all the speculation decided to give Diesel the small role of Groot that wouldn't take his time over. He's a great choice if you've seen the Iron Giant. As to who else he could be playing that is unknown, but I am here to speculate. I could imagine many roles for Diesel to play, but the ones that stand out to me the most are the supposed Vision role or even the role of Cable. Other speculated phase three films he could be involved in are Ant-Man(doubtful), Doctor Strange or even Black Panther(Hopefully not the Black Panther). We all Diesel has his specific voice and films. His characters are badass, and sometimes unemotional even though he is a good actor. I think Vision would fit him well, but the robot style is not great for him. The Black Panther movie if he is showcased in, I would suspect he'd be a villain. If you've seen the comics and TV shows he'd fit perfectly in that as well. Even though Cable hasn't been announced or even mentioned at all, if he was Cable I would imagine a very badass emotional role he could play. His time travelling would work well with audience. I could confirm this would be standalone from the Avengers films, but it would be very, very entertaining.

Star Wars 7 news

After a blast of news from DC and Warner Brothers last week with Ben Affleck's, Disney has stuck their hand in the pot with Star Wars 7 news as well as a lot of Marvel news(we'll get to that later!). I'm very ecstatic that Disney is taking their time on this, planning on a Christmas 2015 release. The date is farther then I would have liked, but to get the quality needed for this is making me feel more comfortable about Disney handling it's future. Other news include it would be filmed on actual film just like the original trilogy meaning more hard work for the editors and director. This is good for the most part, but I think they should really just go with Digital it would be a little less time consuming. Finally they announced the very specific start date for it's filming(production), January 21, 2014. They must be planning on announcing not only the cast, but the plot points for the new film in the upcoming months because let's face it this is one of the most beloved film franchises and all the news sources(including me) are probably going to get their hands on it eventually. No secret can be kept forever, Disney. However, I'm surprised it has been kept a secret for this long, it must be like a government secret(via South Park). I'm sure new news is coming soon!

Ben Affleck is Batman! My opinion and more!

I know it's a bit late but Ben Affleck is the new Batman! I honestly think he's a great actor, but I'm not sure if he'd be right for the role. Affleck in my opinion does a lot of Oscar winning work, but Batman has only been nominated once for Best Picture. Honestly when he was cast for the role I was more surprised then anything when they made the announcement. I expected it to be a Karl Urban announcement even later in this year. I have heard mixed opinions on this but I think the Argo star deserves a mention here. His performance was intense and he preforms well under pressure which will fit well with Batman. He's not my choice, but I'll give him a shot. In addition Affleck is also signed for a few more Batman film as well which will give me a better opinion on his acting as Batman.

Super Fan Saturday: Back to the Future + next week's Predictions 8/30/13

Let's start with my super fandom! Everybody that lived in this time period and even after knows what this movie is. I think it is a masterpiece in cinema. The film has succeeded in making people laugh and people stare at the big screen in amazement. Time travel was not a popular topic until this film reached the heights in both box office and critical ratings. The visuals still live up to today and so does the weirdly funny script. I love BTF.

Box Office 8/30/13 Predictions(Domestic)  Intake
1. Lee Daniels' The Butler                  20 million
2. One Direction This is Us           15 million
3. The World's End                    9 million
4. We're the Millers             7 million
5. Mortal Instruments                       5 million

Top 10 films of 2013 so far (in my opinion)

After last night's viewing of The World's End, I have decided to compile my top 10 movies so far of 2013. It is half way through the year and almost Oscar season so here it is:

HM RED 2- RED 2 was better then the first but not the best movie of the year.

10. (tie) Olympus has Fallen/ The Hangover Part III/ Warm Bodies- Now I may have a three way tie between these three but believe it or not I enjoyed myself during every one of them.

9. World War Z- Silly, smart, and a film trying to be horrifying.

8. Monsters University- The best Pixar entry since Toy Story 3.

7. The Last Stand- Another guilty pleasure. Whether it is Arnold on the big screen or just the sheer violence, I really liked it.

6. Pacific Rim- Destruction! 12 year old me just fainted.

5. Iron Man 3- Not the best Iron Man but not the worst either.

4. This is the End- Honestly I laughed harder here then in The World's End.

3.Man of Steel-A fitting Superman film.

2. The World's End- The funniest movie of the summer, but not as laughable as This is the End. It still provides an interesting look at the human race.

1. Star Trek Into Darkness- I'm not a Trekkie so I loved this film. Saw it twice!

Cornetto Trilogy Review including the newly released, The World's End!

In honor of the end of the Cornetto Trilogy, maybe, I decided to review all of the installments starting with Shaun of the Dead and ending with The World's End. Feel free to comment anonymously after the review.

Shaun of the Dead- The revival of both the horror comedy and modern zombie film, Shaun of the Dead is a great film. The central performances by Nick Frost and Simon were hilarious and complex at the same time. The twisted man behind the trilogy Edgar Wright is a genius for coming up with all of these ideas especially this film. The comedy is superb and it's hard sometimes to distinguish between the horror and comedy. The directing style of Wright adds to this film for his original quick camera turns. Shaun of the Dead receives a 10/10 for me.

Hot Fuzz- The least liked of the trilogy is still as good and as dark, but without the surprise of the first film Shaun of the Dead. The fact about this film is it is a guilty pleasure of mine. I love watching the large battle at the end between the old and the young town citizens. The conspiracy worked as good and kept you on top of your toes. Being not as revolutionary as it's predecessor it still provides a great laugh when needed. It works just fine fitting into the trilogy. 9/10

The World's End- It's a mix of it's predecessors. The old town setting mixed with the invaders and multiple drinking spots. Despite being a mix, it still holds lots of originality. It is probably the second funniest behind the start of the trilogy, Shaun, but it still provides the right amount of horror, action, comedy, references, Sci Fy, romantic and heartwarming moments in this large scale two hour film. It is a fitting end to the Cornetto Trilogy. 10/10

Although it is hard to choose between the favorite, the trilogy is one of my favorites of all time. What do you think of the trilogy?Comment below and follow me on this blog, Blogbuster411, http://blogbuster411.blogspot.com/. Bookmark this page for more. The World's End is in theaters right now! Throwback Tuesday: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Review

A classic Western that delivers perfectly and falls very short of a masterpiece. One of the better spaghetti westerns out there The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is about three selfish men fighting for a giant piece of a prize. If only they can find the exact location. They each know something to locate this grave, and without help it is unknown where it is. This is genius! This created great conflict between the characters which is always great. Eastwood's signature role provides both entertainment and a little bit of smartness to the film. The film may start off slow, but it quickly begins to speed up and doesn't stop until ten minutes before the end of the film where you will experience the longest and most well scored film gunfight. Another element in which the film was the score. The music is classic. Performances are also key and the movie certainly delivered with all three main cast members succeeding in that. Although there are a few flaws in the pacing and predictability it still manages to be a great piece in cinema that redefined the western genre.

The Verdict: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly may be paced a little slow, it still is entertaining, action packed, and well scored. Marked by the performances of Eastwood, Wallach and Van Cleef it is a masterpiece in American cinema. 9/10
+The end gunfight!
+/- A little predictable
-Pacing was off in the beginning
+Music is well scored
+The directing and writing were very well done.
+Tense atmosphere with Civil War background
+Entertaining and funny
+The action is great.
+The plot is intriguing.

OMG Guardians Footage leaked from Comic Con and D23! Review

Now I expect after a few days online, a long time for a leaked trailer, The Guardians of Galaxy trailer will be taken off soon, but before that happened I watched the leaked footage 10 times. The footage may in fact be embraced by the  And I'm going to review it for you guys or at least give my opinion: So first off, Oh my God! Although it is only 30 seconds long it still packs a punch. I wasn't that concerned like most people but now I'm more excited then ever for this movie! It starts with a quinjet flying away and then non stop action until the end. At the end the final joke made it even more awesome. The characters and effects were really good for only about a months worth of footage. Although we didn't see much of Gamora other then two scenes in the trailer she looked really good. I couldn't help noticing that adding to the comedy feel is the song from Reservoir Dogs, Hooked on a Feeling by the Blue Swedes. Overall this movie is going to be action packed, funny, and a good time! A+ If you get a chance look it up.

Trailer Review: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Official Theatrical Trailer (2013) HD

Because I have read two and a half of these books and this is my favorite I'm so excited. The visuals don't lack in this one and the plot seems to have gotten darker. With most teen films it doesn't, but here you have an example of government vs. the people. Not much else to say but A.

Trailer Review: Snowpiercer International Trailer #3 (2013) - Chris Evans Movie HD

Chris Evans is back! I loved him in the Avengers and when I read the synopsis back in May of last year I was super excited. Post Apocalyptic is one of my favorite genres. Snowpiercer has released some other trailers but I found this one showed the most. Although only 47 seconds it reveals people on a train run by the government don't know the outside world is experiencing the second Ice Age. The trailer is dark, gritty, and action packed. It also includes great visuals when shown form the outside. This is good, but I want more. C+

Trailer Review: American Hustle Official Trailer #1 (2013) - Christian Bale, Jennifer La...

The 1970's project by Silver Lining Playbook director David O. Russell, is awesome. Although the trailer is for the most part sex and cheating(sexually and through cash) it still manages to intrigue the viewer with well shot film and a mystery plot. Yes I wish they would have dove more into it,but I think they're waiting till closer to the release. Also I applaud the actors for going out of their comfort zones. Good trailer, no plot, B+.

A LARPing movie. Hell yea. Live Action Role Playing is a game played by fans of Fantasy and the supernatural. The point is actors play a character that has to finish a certain quest. Yes, real life Game of Thrones mixed with Dungeons and Dragons. My inner self was so happy. Not to say the trailer didn't have it's graphic flaws but overall I will be checking this out on DVD. B

Trailer Review: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty Official Trailer #1 (2013) - Ben Stiller...

Ben Stiller's first Oscar? I admit that I love Ben Stiller's comedy, but this looks way above that. I think Stiller is trying to break out and be in more dramas, which I want him to succeed at. However this is the big hump he needs to get over in order to do that. The trailer was great, it only had two lines of dialogue from Stiller and didn't really give away the full  plot or movie away. However, I didn't love that they had huge special effects in this movie. For example the jumping window scene looked cool, but fake. That is my only complaint so I guess I'd give it a A. A  is for, A definite must see.

Trailer Review: 47 Ronin Official Trailer #1 (2013) - Keanu Reeves, Rinko Kikuchi Movie HD

This trailer disappointed me, when I read the plot it sounded great, but now it looks like a modern day mix of Japan with the old days. The graphics and scenery are great, don't get me wrong about that, but I wanted it to be story then action. Although the action was bad ass it didn't all fit in with my idea of the film. Overall it was a good trailer, but it came off different from what I was expecting and I'll decide later on whether to see it in theaters. C+

The 12th Doctor is Peter Capaldi!

Undoubtedly one of the greatest roles ever in television is going to "the Thick of it" star Peter Capaldi. I have not seen much of his work other then his very small role in World War Z as the W.H.O. Doctor, get it, but my first impression is this guy can act. He also looks great in the suit and most likely will also provide the excellent comedy the Doctor needs. Despite his age of 55 this is the right choice because he's not as young as Smith but is not too old as Hartnell. This is an odd choice considering that there seemed to be a relationship between the Doctor and Clara in the last episodes of Series 7, but Capaldi is older then I expected the Doctor. Unfortunately my pick for Idris Elba for 12 was not picked, but I believe Capaldi will fill his shoes just fine. I have a feeling in my stomach that Series 8 will be light and dark compared to Capaldi's other acting jobs. Hopefully he will be the best Doctor ever!

What is your first impression of Capaldi of the Doctor? Comment below and follow me on this blog, Bloguster411, http://blogbuster411.blogspot.com/. Bookmark this page for more. Doctor Who
Series 8 is expected to air in August 2014 and for more Capaldi, his series "The Thick of it"  is free on Hulu.
